The mere mention of Mexican food brings forth images of spicy, fatty foods that’s normally spiced with a hint of chili powder and peppers. But these aren’t the only flavours that are common to Mexican dishes – there are lots of others too, all of which are very tasty indeed. Some of the most common and popular Mexican dishes are chicken, beef, tilapia fish, seafood, vegetables, salads, desserts and tamales. There is so much variety in Mexican dishes that no matter what you fancy, you’re bound to find it in the Mexican cuisine.
One of the things I love most about Mexican food is that it’s not just a meal; it’s more of an experience, a way to spend your time. Whether you want to eat out with friends or family, or if you’re more comfortable cooking at home, Mexican cuisine has something for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to decide between a marinated chicken or a simple taco, you’re bound to get more than you bargained for. In fact, the variety of Mexican dishes is so wide that there is a dish for everybody.
You might think Mexican food is just healthy and good for you. Don’t misunderstand me – there is a lot of fat involved in Mexican dishes, but it’s usually in the form of guacamole, which makes it healthy and low-fat. Also, you should try not to get sick eating Mexican food. Most Mexican dishes are rich in ingredients like tomatoes, onions, chilies and other ingredients that can keep you healthy, yet are also very tasty. It’s easy to love Mexican food when you start tasting it for yourself – you will never know whether you like it all the way or not!
